Turkish rod producers face weak export demand
Following a quiet week for demand, Turkish wire rod producers are struggling to keep export prices stable, as the limited number of active buyers are putting downward pressure on prices.
Most Turkish mills’ wire rod export prices for mesh quality stand at $465-475/tonne fob Turkey. However, offers at $460/t fob and $500/t fob are also available from some rod producers. The mills that offer higher prices are fully booked for longer.
