Turkish rod export drop slows in August
Turkish wire rod exports continued their 2020 decline in August, though at a slower pace. They fell -16.1% on-year to 118,798 tonnes. They were, however, up from the 108,799t exported in July, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price was $452/tonne versus $501/t in August 2019 and $434/t in July 2020.
