Turkish rod exports rise on Ivory Coast demand
Following their drastic fall in May, Turkish wire rod exports rose by 1% on-year in June to 109,770 tonnes. This was also up from 78,595t in May, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price rose to $719/tonne from $436/t in June 2020 and $693/t in May.
June exports of round rod below 14mm diameter increased by 29.4% on-year to 89,445t. Ivory Coast, surprisingly, was the largest buyer with 16,429t versus zero …
