Turkey’s 2020 rod exports plunge despite December surge
Turkish wire rod exports, which dropped for consecutive months in 2020, surged in December. They rose 18.4% on-year to 121,632 tonnes. They were also up from the 96,357t exported in November, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price was also up to $508/tonne from $446/t in December 2019 and $497/t in November 2020.
