Turkish rod exports drop sharply in April
Turkish wire rod exports, which have been decreasing significantly since the beginning of the year, fell once again sharply in April, by -64% on-year to 57,154 tonnes. They were also down -36.4% from March, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price fell to $447/tonne versus $506/t in April 2019 and $457/t in March 2020.
