Turkish rod export offers fall despite higher costs
Turkish wire rod producers have decreased their offer prices in the global market, despite the increase in their costs arising from costlier energy and firm scrap prices. Poor demand has forced them to decrease prices.
Export offers for mesh-quality wire rod are seen at $830-860/tonne fob levels depending on the producer, while offers for drawing quality are at $850/t fob.
