Turkish rebar is world's cheapest: Turkish steel exporters
The world's cheapest rebar is being sold in Turkey, shows a research by the Turkish Steel Exporters Association (CIB) on domestic rebar prices in different countries, based on August prices.
Turkish construction contractors pay $555/tonne ex-works for rebar in Turkey. This is lower than domestic prices in markets known as cheap globally such as China and the CIS region and others, the association says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
