Turkish rebar quotes up amidst costlier scrap
Turkish rebar producers are facing slow demand in both the global and domestic markets. Despite the low demand, however, some mills which were offering rebars at 640/tonne fob have increased their rebar export quotes due to higher scrap prices, Kallanish understands.
Rebar export quotes, which stood at $640-660/t fob Turkey at the beginning of the week, stand mostly at $650-660/t fob actual weight on Thursday.
