Turkish rebar producers forced to further reduce offers
Turkish steel mills, struggling to survive under current market conditions of almost zero domestic demand, and very limited demand and price pressure on export market, have had to further reduce rebar offers.
With the support of lower scrap and billet prices this week, Turkish mills’ rebar offers have fallen to $420-425/tonne fob levels, although some still try to maintain their prices at higher levels.
