Turkish rebar exports rebound on Asia demand
Turkish rebar exports rebounded in July to 499,446 tonnes, up 15% on-year and higher than the 347,986t recorded in June, which was the second-lowest tonnage so far in 2019. This is according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Average sales price was $467/tonne versus $563/t in July 2018.
The rebound was thanks to the return of demand from Asia, with Singapore and Hong Kong buying 84,086t and 60,000t respectively versus zero…
