Turkish rebar exports rebound to 7-month high
Turkish rebar exports rebounded in style in May, more than doubling each on-year and on-month to 707,087 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. It was the highest monthly tonnage since October 2018 after April 2019 had seen a 19-month low.
The average price of May rebar exports, however, was $480/tonne versus $565/t in May 2018.
