Turkish rebar exports more than double in May
Turkish rebar exports continued their rise in May, following their 65.4% on-year surge in April. May exports more than doubled on-year to 682,930 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This was mostly because they came from a low, Covid-19-impacted base. They were however also up from 641,059t in April.
Average sales price increased to $625/tonne versus $415/t in May 2020 and $601.7/t in April.
