Asia, South America absence slashes Turkish rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports fell 17.8% on-year in April to 515,171 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They also slumped 24.3% versus March.
Average price, nevertheless, increased to $794.5/tonne from $603/t a year earlier and $728/t in March 2022.
Major market Israel was the largest buyer in April with 100,926t, up 6.3% on-year. Another important market, Yemen, however, almost halved its intake from Turkey to 72,942t.…
