Turkish rebar continues to slide amid weak sentiment
Turkish rebar exporters are seen suffering from weak domestic and export demand, uncertainties arising from the Israel-Gaza war, and declining prices.
On Thursday, Turkish mills’ official rebar offers were at $550-565/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, down from $565-575/t a week earlier. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, are at $560-580/t fob. However, $540-545/t fob for rebar seems achievable for larger tonnages under current conditions.
