Turkish mills slow scrap demand
Turkish mills’ scrap demand has cooled after they purchased numerous deep-sea and short-sea scrap cargoes and almost completed January-shipment procurement last week.
There are almost no mills inquiring for deep-sea scrap and only a few are seen to be inquiring about short-sea scrap. Because scrap demand has weakened, scrap suppliers are seen to have backed off following the respite they received with recent sales.
