Turkish mills slash domestic rebar prices
Turkish mills have reduced notably their rebar prices for the domestic market as scrap import prices resumed their decline, notes Kallanish.
Local scrap-based longs maker Icdas slashed its rebar prices by TRY 100/tonne to TRY 2,650/t ($647/t), TRY 2,660/t and TRY 2,670/t for 12-32mm, 10mm, and 8mm diameter rebar respectively from 19 April. This follows a raise by TRY 40/t the previous week due to the lira depreciation.
