Turkish mills’ scrap demand remains slow, sentiment weakens
Turkish mills are seen following a cautious stance with their scrap purchases, although their November-shipment requirements have barely been satisfied.
On Tuesday, four bookings were heard from the EU, two at $359/tonne and two at $360/t cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20. Another booking done on Friday was heard at $372/t for 10,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 90:10, $389/t for 18,000t of shredded and $389/t cfr for 2,000t of bonus grade.
