Turkish mills reduce domestic scrap prices
Turkish domestic scrap prices declined in the upper end of the range last week as some mills reduced further their buying prices, while the uptick in scrap import prices continued, Kallanish notes.
Local alloy steel maker Asil Celik lowered its auto-bundle (DKP) buying price by TRY 20/tonne ($5.7/t) on week to TRY 990/t ($282/t) on 22 June. Integrated long steelmaker Kardemir cut its DKP prices to TRY 1,005/t on 20 June from TRY 1,040/t a month earlier…
