Turkish mills seek further imported scrap price reduction
Turkish mills are seeking further reductions in prices from imported scrap suppliers.
After concluding a scrap booking at $242/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20, Turkish mills decreased their price expectations for all imported scrap to this level at the beginning of the week. The lower expectations are supported by finished steel demand remaining very low and numerous scrap suppliers offering in the Turkish market.
