Turkish mills pay higher in fresh scrap bookings
Turkish mills are concluding numerous scrap bookings after returning to the scrap import market this week, Kallanish notes.
Following the deals reported on Tuesday, fresh bookings were heard on Wednesday. The mill that bought three deep-sea cargoes on Tuesday booked another cargo from the US consisting of 16,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 and 16,000t of shredded at $288/t and $293/t cfr Turkey respectively.
