Turkish mills increase rebar quotes amid higher costs
Turkish mills have increased their rebar offers this week due to the further rises seen in energy prices in the new year.
Mills’ official quotes are mostly at $700-710/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, up from $690-695/t fob last week. There are even offers above $710/t fob from some mills.
Demand, however, is almost non-existent while Turkish mills have further lost their competitive advantage in the global arena after price rises.
