Turkish mills increase rebar quotes
Turkish mills have increased their rebar quotes in both local and international markets this week after scrap prices rose further.
Although mills have not yet seen a recovery in rebar demand in export markets, increasing costs due to higher scrap prices have forced them to increase their sales prices. Today, most Turkish mills’ quotes for rebar stand at $415-425/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, while some offers are even at $430/t fob.
