Turkish mills hike rebar further despite moderate demand
Some Turkish mills have further increased rebar quotes following the new, higher-priced scrap deal, while others are withholding offers until next week.
Following the fresh scrap deal from the US at $418/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20, some Turkish mills increased rebar export quotes on Thursday to $630/t fob Turkey actual weight. They were at $620-625/t fob the day before. The remaining mills are expected to follow with increases.
