Turkish mills hike rebar but buying interest low
Turkish mills have further increased their rebar offers due to continuously rising scrap prices. This comes after quotes were raised at the start of this week following last week’s scrap surge.
Turkish mills’ rebar offers, which stood at $410-415/tonne fob Turkey on Tuesday, currently stand at $415-420/t fob actual weight.
However, Turkish mills are receiving an unsatisfactory level of enquiries despite running at low capacity utilisation.
