Turkish mills anticipate rebar export demand rebound
Turkish mills have faced low rebar demand in export markets since returning from the Eid holiday on Wednesday.
Following the increases seen in scrap prices last week, mills increased their rebar quotes to above $400/tonne fob actual weight towards the end of last week. Due to the holiday, scrap prices have since remained stable and demand in export markets has been quiet. Mills therefore kept rebar quotes unchanged this week at $400-410/t fob actual weight.
