Turkish mills continue deep-sea scrap purchases
After resuming scrap purchases in the second half of last week, more deep-sea purchases were heard in the Turkish scrap market on Friday, Kallanish notes.
A western mill bought two cargoes from the Baltic at $372/tonne and $373/t cfr Turkey respectively for HMS 1&2 80:20, while a Marmara mill is heard to have bought a top-up cargo from the EU at $369/t cfr for the same grade.
