Turkish metals workers’ deal averts strike
Turkish metals workers have reached an agreement with employers’ union MESS, thereby preventing a strike they had threatened if wage demands were not met.
All of Turkey’s major metalworkers' unions, including Turk-Metal and Birleşik Metal-İş, decided to go on strike after collective agreement negotiations with MESS broke down.
