Turkish merchant bar quotes slide further
Turkish merchant bar producers have decreased their export quotes further as a result of low demand and falling billet prices.
On Friday, quotes stood at $640-655/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $650-665/t for IPN-UPN sections, $660-675/t for flat bars, and $650-665/t for IPE sections. A mill with production cost advantage is heard offering at lower levels, though. Offers stood at $665-685/t fob the previous week.7
