Turkish merchant bar quotes struggle to stabilise
Turkish merchant bar producers kept their export offers mostly stable last week. However, lower bids from buyers are putting quotes under pressure.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $605-630/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, unchanged from last week.
However, they struggled to sell at the high end of the range as buyers' bids were much lower amid global competition.
