Turkish merchant bar quotes cave in to costs
Following the recovery seen in Turkish merchant bar quotes thanks to higher production costs, the producers that had delayed increases ultimately hiked their prices last week, Kallanish notes.
On Friday, producers’ export quotes were mostly pegged at $710-750/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $720-760/t for IPN-UPN sections, $740-780/t for flat bars, and $720-760/t for IPE sections.
Although angles were available at $660/t fob the previous week, no mill accepted…
