Turkish merchant bar quotes rise, demand unstable
Turkish merchant bar producers increased their export quotes last week due to firm scrap and higher billet prices. However, demand, which lacks consistency and stability, is not at levels supportive of higher prices. As a result, some producers are providing discounts in order to get a share of demand.
