Turkish merchant bar quotes continue to slide
Turkish merchant bar producers further decreased their export quotes last week due to insufficient demand.
On Friday, producers’ export quotes were pegged mostly at around $620-635/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $630-645/t for IPN-UPN sections, $640-655/t for flat bars, and $630-645/t for IPE sections. This is down $5/t on-week from the low end of the previous week’s ranges, Kallanish notes.
