Turkish merchant bar hikes again on costly feedstock
Turkish merchant bar producers increased their prices further last week due to the continued rise seen in billet and scrap prices.
On Friday, Turkish merchant bar producers’ export quotes were mostly at $1,020-1,050/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $1,030-1,060/t for IPN-UPN sections, $1,040-1,070/t for flat bars, and $1,030-1,060/t for IPE sections. These are almost $40-50/t higher compared to the prior week’s prices.
