Turkish merchant bar producers struggle to raise prices
Despite the continuing rises in raw material prices, Turkish merchant bar producers are keeping their quotes relatively stable. This is mostly the result of unsatisfactory demand and competition among Turkish producers.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $630-650/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, up by $10/t from the low end of the previous week’s range.
