Turkish merchant bar producers eye hikes, billet costlier
Turkish merchant bar producers, who are facing a price rise for their billet feedstock, tried increasing their quotes last week.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $660-670/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, up $5/t from the low end of the range a week earlier. Even higher offer levels were available from some producers.
