Turkish merchant bar subdued, producers’ price gap widens
Most Turkish merchant bar producers decreased their prices last week due to lacking demand and sliding raw material values.
On Friday, producers’ export quotes were pegged at $750-790/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $760-800/t for IPN-UPN sections, $770-810/t for flat bars, and $760-800/t for IPE sections. Angles were down from $785-800/t a week earlier.
