Turkish merchant bar producers keep export prices stable
After two consecutive weeks of price increases, Turkish mills kept their merchant bar export prices unchanged last week. Demand, which was strong the week before, had slowed by the middle of last week.
Angle prices, slightly above $500/tonne fob in the previous week, now stand at $500-510/t fob Turkey. However, lower levels at $490/t fob are also available from some producers, especially those that have favourable production costs and a limited product range.…
