Turkish merchant bar quotes increase despite weak demand
Despite export demand being at unsatisfactory levels, Turkish merchant bar producers have increased their export quotes due to the rise seen in energy costs.
Turkish merchant bar producers’ export quotes stand mostly at $750-760/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $760-770/t for IPN-UPN sections, $770-780/t for flat bars, and $760-770/t for IPE sections. These are $10-15/t up from end-2021 levels.
