Turkish merchant bar prices struggle to hold
Turkish merchant bar producers kept their export quotes mostly unchanged from the previous week, although buyers are pushing for lower levels.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $610-635/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, unchanged from a week earlier, notes Kallanish.
Demand remains sluggish, while buyers expect prices to decline and are pushing for lower levels.
