Turkish merchant bar offers remain unchanged, demand weak
Turkish merchant bar producers are seen to have failed to increase their prices due to subdued demand, despite the 20% hikes in electricity and natural gas prices as of 1 October.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $615-625/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $625-635/t for IPN-UPN sections, $635-645/t for flat bars, and $625-635/t for IPE sections, unchanged from last week.
