Turkish merchant bar exporters question market direction
Turkish merchant bar producers further decreased their export prices last week but were left confused over the market direction following the sharp increase in scrap prices on Thursday.
Scrap prices jumped by $15/tonne due to tight availability of material, causing merchant bar producers to withdraw their offers. They are instead waiting for firm bids, due to the low level of demand.
