Turkish merchant bar export prices further increase
Turkish merchant bar producers further increased their prices this week as a result of higher billet prices. Demand - which increased considerably last week - has slowed this week and remained below last week’s levels. The EU, however, continued buying merchant bars from Turkey with the support of strong euro against the dollar, Kallanish notes.
