Turkey’s March rebar exports sink to historic low
Turkish rebar exports accelerated their long-lasting downswing in March, hitting a historic low since 2000. They plummeted to 202,399 tonnes in March from 669,484t last year. They were also down from 306,762t in January and 209,397t in February, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Average price was $702/tonne versus $730/t in March 2022 and $676/t in February 2023.
