Turkish longs struggle amid demand contraction
Turkish long steel producers are seen struggling to sell in both export and domestic markets due to a significant contraction in demand.
Turkish mills’ official rebar offer prices stood mostly at around $560-565/tonne fob Turkey actual weight on Thursday, while offers for mesh-quality wire rod were at $570-580/t fob.
However, lower prices at around $550/t fob seem achievable, specifically for large volumes.
