Turkish longs quotes remain stable despite weak demand
Turkish mills are seen keeping their export quotes for rebar and wire rod almost unchanged from last week despite sluggish demand. This is mainly because producers have not been able to lower scrap prices to desired levels.
On Thursday, mills’ official offers for rebar stood mostly at $580-590/tonne fob Turkey actual weight. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, are at $590-600/t fob.
