Turkish long steel prices decline despite firm scrap
Turkish long steel producers are seen struggling to sell in both export and domestic markets as buyers await lower prices, Kallanish notes.
Consequently, they have been forced to reduce their offer prices to $565-580/tonne fob Turkey actual weight this week from $580-590/t last week, despite scrap prices remaining firm. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, stand at $575-590/t fob.
