Turkish long product offers rise amid costlier scrap
Turkish mills have increased rebar and wire rod export quotes despite a slowdown in demand. The price increases were mostly the result of higher scrap prices last week.
Turkish mills had a quiet week in terms of export sales, but paid higher prices for scrap. As almost all mills have filled their order books until the end of the year, some even for January, they have reflected the increases seen in scrap prices in their long product quotes.
