Turkish iron ore imports unchanged as prices surge
Turkish iron ore imports were flat on-year in November 2020 at 476,153 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average price was $120/tonne versus $95/t in November 2019.
Brazil supplied 413,405t of iron ore in November, up 22%. Russian-origin supply rose 2% to 62,701t. This compensated for zero supply from India and Ukraine versus over 61,000t and over 45,000t respectively a year earlier.
