Turkish iron ore imports slip in July
Turkey's iron ore imports declined -1.7% on-year to 929,904 tonnes in July, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical indstitute (TUIK) data.
The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $82/t from $65/t a year ago. The iron ore/rebar spread widened to $362/t in July from $342/t a year earlier. July's scrap-rebar spread also widened to $167/t from $145/t, same base.
