Turkish iron ore imports halve in March
Turkish iron ore imports almost halved on-year in March to 849,503 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $95/tonne versus $103/t in March 2019.
Supply from largest supplier Brazil fell -14% in March to 571,793t, while intake from Sweden slumped -56% to 165,163t. Russian-origin supply, however, surged 28% to 112,513t.
